Rosie Assoulin SS17

Rosie Assoulin - the brand, and the outfits - is, in my opinion, the perfect example of fash-UN repelling, without too much of the repelling.

Her style is what you would aspire to wear on a first date, if you so happened to desperately want to wear those new khaki oversized cotton belted not-Dad-style chinos; and yet still wanted to look and feel flattered and appear somewhat feminine and sexy, but still intriguing, with a sense of creativity and tbh - letting the other person know what they're in for. *pause for a breathe because that was all one sentence*

Not to copy Vogue, but I've selected my favourite Rosie Assoulin outfits and given you a typed commentary, with complimentary post-gym semi-lucid thoughts.

12 Times Alexa Chung's Street Style Made SS16 History

An icon and an IT-girl - here is a word-free collective of the archives of Alexa Chung's best street style moments - easily convertible to the SS16 trends. Ice cream makes a good companion to silent and unvoiced posts: multitasking is easier when the compilation of photos are so INCREDIBLY FABULOUS.

finally denim and finally culottes

Do you remember the first time you saw culottes and you had that heart-wrenching love/hate reaction. Well, I did anyway. Over the years I have grown to absolutely love them. I bought my first pair on Sunday at Topshop in the sale for £7 after years of dreaming. Try telling me that's not a bargain. I always try to be adventurous and branch away from polonecks but it's futile and I always stick to what I know. I know polonecks

So, enjoy.

The world needs to take Christmas inspiration from Birmingham.

PS. Premiere Inn have upgraded their breakfasts and it is probably the most fantastic thing to have happened to budget, family-friendly hotels suitable for lovely quick one night stayovers. I had a cinnamon and raisin bagel, a fruit and granola bowl, toast with beans, tomatoes and mushrooms and tea and juice. Thx. And it was all vegan friendly. Also, they invested in peanut butter. Life gets better when the peanut butter comes out.

wearable 70's

Because, just sometimes, bell-bottom pants and glitzy, sequinned numbers are not the thing to wear.

a leather skirt

How To Wear: Black Skinny Jeans

I remember a pair of jeans I once had. I must have been around 8 years old. They were bootcut and a dark denim, but I had worn them so long that they were faded in every area possible and were now at least 2 sizes too small. I was (and continue to be) extremely stubborn, meaning I continued to wear the jeans - to Church, of course - despite my mother's incessant pleading. I think she knows when to give up. I wasn't giving the jeans up. I've had similar experiences with almost all my clothing and thankfully always end up in a much better place, with the photographs to show for it. Sometimes it's not my fault. I remember a whole season that I was dressed in a black pointy-hemmed witch-like skirt, complete with lace. You could probably have found something better in a halloween store. I did end up wearing the skirt for Halloween the same year so every cloud has a silver lining. That's probably why she bought it, tbh - kill two birds with one stone, yanno? (don't kill any birds though, srsly.)
