Floral Refresh | SS18 Pink Feminine Look
Dune handbag, H&M dress, Aldo shoes, Quay sunglasses, NEXT earrings, thrifted headband
I spent all morning falling down a Dolce & Gabbana rabbit hole. It started on Instagram, continued onto Pinterest, and I ended up daydreaming about D&G children's outfits. I bought this dress in H&M a few weeks ago and was waiting for the perfect weather to wear it. I was so inspired by the D&G style of the dress - I paired it with a crystal headband and black pointed-toe ballet pumps to really emphasise the feminine-princess vibe; and black tassel half-hoop earrings for a spring-time feel.

90's Spring Red Floral Tea-Dress
I bought this gorgeous red and white floral tea dress at the end of last summer in the Topshop sale and have had it hanging in my wardrobe since, so I was so excited to wear it as soon as I heard that we would be getting a wave of warmer weather. I was inspired by the chic relaxed vintage styles seen on Chronicles of Her and Reformation. I also have been loving the small sunglasses trend for years but the huge spring-summer trend of them has definitely reignited my love for them. Another massive trend for spring/summer that I have always liked but never felt like it was my style, is the western trend. I like how the white leather jacket subtly nods to the trend without being too obvious. The gold layered jewellery has become a staple for me, now, and I paired the outfit with Stan Smiths for a playful 80's/90's casual feel.

Styling A Blazer For SS18 – Casual Off-Duty (+ Current Spring Favourites)
Firstly, I LOVE how these photos turned out - I love the use of natural lighting (I hardly had to touch these photos up) and the wall of greenery as a backdrop. This outfit is a more casual, relaxed version of this one that I posted a week ago.

Cinderella-Blue Lace and Silver Evening Look
This was the outfit I wore for my 18th birthday party (dinner and cocktails). I wanted to look preppy, sophisticated and conservatively 'put-together' - à la Blair Waldorf and Fallon Carrington - while still looking glitzy, glam and modern.

Brown Faux Snakeskin Boots + Blazer Look | Spring ‘18
This was my 'birthday look'. I love: the checked blazer (a HUGE trend this season, which I also talked about in this post), the brown faux snakeskin boots, the 60's inspired velvet black headband (just a craft-store ribbon which I have lately been loving pinning underneath my hair to look like a very vintage mod-style headband - also a giant trend this season), the 70's inspired Etro sunglasses (a gorgeous birthday gift), the contrast of the preppy upper-half with the faux leather trousers to add a modern feel to the outfit.

Romantic 80’s Inspired | Pink Satin + TREND Checked Blazer
Much like the famous 'The Devil Wears Prada' scene, as checks and tailoring were selected and designed for the runways; both trends have now begun to filter down into the department stores and high-street. The high-street, especially, has seen a huge influx of checked blazers so the options are endless! I have been wanting a blazer for years now - after being endlessly inspired by Lizzy Hadfield (Shot From The Street) - but was always too picky with minor details to buy one. I found this gorgeous blazer in Zara - brown shades with black and reddish-chestnut running through, structured shoulders, faux double-breasted. I love the 70's/80's feel of the blazer depending on what accessories it is paired with - meaning that it will be the perfect addition to my AW18 wardrobe, to wear with the huge 70's and 80's trends seen on the AW18 catwalks this February.
I've been wearing this blazer mostly just with jeans, sneakers and a basic t-shirt, to really let the blazer have centre stage. With this outfit, I wanted to look a bit more 'put together' and so contrasted the androgynous blazer and long straight leg jeans with a pink satin-type frilly blouse. I also layered gold necklaces and added a dusky gold bag to emphasise the romantic daytime feel. I also think a headband would look amazing with this outfit - inspired by 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' or 'Nancy Drew'.

Grunge/Smart | Belt Tied Over Jumper
I have been seeing belts being tied over blazers, coats, oversized jumpers and dresses for a few seasons now; but I've never felt like I could wear the trend. I love how the belt acts as a focal point to draw attraction to your waist, as well as breaking up any block colours to add dimension. I felt like this belt gave this slightly faded blue jumper a whole new lease of life. I also wore a black poloneck under the jumper to add a layer; and paired the outfit with red lipstick to add colour, an evening drawstring bag and black converse to contrast with the smartness of the belt and bag. I just love the layers and shape and cut of the outfit and will definitely be working with a belt as an accessory, instead of just a practical necessity, more often. I also have been wearing a velvet ribbon as a headband (pinned in under my hair) recently and have been loving the 60's feel it gives.

Girly Rocked Up | Pink Faux Shaggy Fur Coat + Black Skorts
I wore this outfit ages ago after I had just thrown it together one morning, and received so many compliments and felt so confident and chic - but still cool and not too smart - that I knew I had to share it. I love the alternative take on the classic 60's-inspired outfit pairing of a mini skirt + ankle boots + a short jacket.
