#take2 New Year Reading List

I think the new year has been going relitavely spectacular, give or take. I wouldn't stick to saying that my 'resolutions' have been going perfectly well to a T; however, I would go as far as to say that this years goals have been doing pretty darn good and probably the best they have ever done. I have mostly kept to being healthy and I have eaten way more wholesome foods - be proud of me, man - the baked beans are gone. I have also been in the motivated frame of mind except I haven't quite reached the actually doing anything stage. Still, the motivation is a step onwards.

I planned to read more books this year. Planned. Surely it must be ok to just be at the mediocre stages once in a while. Sometimes just the average day-to-day amount of reading has got to be sufficient. Except, I still actually do want to read a bit more. I want to get into that groovy can't-stop-reading phase.

I have always been an avid reader. Some days you just need a good book with a fresh page smell at 10 on a scale. I'll read just about anything - preferably if it includes some sassy grammar, historically-based plot line and a few beautiful people. I want you to know that I plan to brush up on being Parisian and Amy Poehler is on the agenda too. I just have to get into the swing of things and find some sit-down time. Books are in our future.

Here's a list of my second attempt at a future book list. I made it into a list because I can do that with just about anything and it is quite as organised as an excel spreadsheet, except much easier and much more satisfying.

  1. Do you have a goodreads account? If not, I super recommend it so please join! I'd love to add you. It's a popular book website where you can track the book(s) you're currently reading and other things. XX
