How To Wear: Black Skinny Jeans

I remember a pair of jeans I once had. I must have been around 8 years old. They were bootcut and a dark denim, but I had worn them so long that they were faded in every area possible and were now at least 2 sizes too small. I was (and continue to be) extremely stubborn, meaning I continued to wear the jeans - to Church, of course - despite my mother's incessant pleading. I think she knows when to give up. I wasn't giving the jeans up. I've had similar experiences with almost all my clothing and thankfully always end up in a much better place, with the photographs to show for it. Sometimes it's not my fault. I remember a whole season that I was dressed in a black pointy-hemmed witch-like skirt, complete with lace. You could probably have found something better in a halloween store. I did end up wearing the skirt for Halloween the same year so every cloud has a silver lining. That's probably why she bought it, tbh - kill two birds with one stone, yanno? (don't kill any birds though, srsly.)

8 Style Instagram Accounts You Need To Follow

8 could be an awkward number if you let it. Don't question why there are not 10. If you had 8 brilliant diamonds, would you want 10 crystals? 8 could be a very brilliant number if you just go for a number-related pep talk. You choose. 8 is how many chocolates I could eat in one sitting. Minimum. 8 is also how many new pairs of shoes I need right now.

So, let 8 be the number of these stylish women. ootds, wonderlust, fashion month, artisan breakfasts, spot-on selfies, fabulous photoshoots, poses that make anyone else look crazy, beautiful textures, incred street style.

MOLLY GODDARD IS MY DREAM

As the title blatantly shouts, I am loving Molly Goddard at the moment. I love her love of layers. I love how you could layer her clothes over other bases/layers. I love her bold and bright colour choices. I love the urban, grunge feel. I love the vintage shapes and style. I love the fun idea of her clothes. Just straight up loving.

Mary-Kate & Ashley | style icons

12:36 Sunday afternoon - crazy, I need to do work. I can see the work staring at me from the corner of the room. I'm wearing my new Primark cream poloneck. Ever so slightly disappointing - it's far too thin to be good quality - but worth the price. <exhibit a> The weather is irritating. Can I get some convertible shorts/pants with detachable legs? I'm listening to Alicia Keys on Spotify and the ads keep ruining my jam. She's just hit the big chorus-y bit. If I Ain't Got You. It's deep.

VOGUE WANTS US TO COLOUR SO COLOUR WE WILL

I started this post saying ‘this is either a new high in fashion or a new low’, but can we be real: this could never be anything but the absolute summit. Introducing: the Vogue colouring book. I don’t care if this is advertised for grown-ups. Why would anyone of any age not want to design their own Vogue cover? There is no answer. It includes hand drawn designs, which we all know from experience, makes everything better. Hand drawn is always better. This post is mainly for you – mom, dad and friends. Take note. Sales begin November 5th at £10.

comfort x style

An outfit takes guts and confidence, often inspired by Pinterest or shopping money-spending overdoses. When I get dressed in the morning, it is a stressful process. I could never just put on outfit on. By the end of the rigorous exercise workout taking clothing on and off again – you could expect somewhere between 3 and 5 outfits strewn on the floor. The full picture (if you’re interested) is me, either dead on the bed or hyperventilating in front of the wardrobe, with a cup of tea gone cold at the side, tears probably streaming down my face, I’m trying to multi-task with doing my makeup, hair and getting dressed at the same time. I then put all my hope into Pinterest in the hope that I will find some inspiration for an outfit. Sometimes I look on Zara too. I definitely find it hard to be one of those people who can just ‘throw something on’ in the morning. My outfit take intense planning and nights of doing catwalks and mirror modelling. I’m working on comfort though.
